Cookie Policy
Effective date: 21 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage are, the types we use on the Hungerish.com platform and website, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
01What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device across pages and sessions, and enable various features. Similar technologies such as web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage work in a comparable way and are also covered by this policy.
02Storage Categories We Use
We categorise optional and required storage into four groups:
- fiber_manual_recordStrictly Necessary — essential for the platform to function, including your saved consent choices. These cannot be disabled.
- fiber_manual_recordFunctional — remember your preferences such as language, timezone, and theme to personalise your experience.
- fiber_manual_recordAnalytics — help us understand how visitors interact with the platform. Data is aggregated and anonymised where possible.
- fiber_manual_recordMarketing — used to deliver relevant advertising and track campaign effectiveness across partner sites. These are only enabled when you consent.
03Specific Storage We Set
The table below lists the primary first-party storage entries used on Hungerish.com:
- fiber_manual_recordhungerish-cookie-preferences (localStorage) — Strictly Necessary — stores your cookie category choices and the time they were last updated. Duration: until you clear site data or update your preferences.
- fiber_manual_recordAuthentication session tokens (HTTP-only cookies / secure storage) — Strictly Necessary — keeps you signed in to your account. Duration: session or refresh lifetime.
- fiber_manual_recordLocale and theme preferences (localStorage) — Functional — stores UI preferences when functional storage is enabled. Duration: until cleared or updated.
- fiber_manual_recordGoogle Analytics (third-party cookies, when enabled) — Analytics — measures aggregated page usage if you consent to analytics. Duration: set by Google; see Google's privacy documentation.
- fiber_manual_recordStripe (third-party cookies / storage, when checkout is used) — Strictly Necessary for payments — supports secure payment processing. Duration: set by Stripe; see Stripe's privacy documentation.
04Third-Party Services
We use trusted providers that may set their own cookies or storage when their features are enabled:
Stripe — payment processing during checkout and subscription billing.
Google Analytics — aggregated marketing-site analytics when you consent to analytics storage.
When these tools are enabled, their providers apply their own privacy terms to the data they collect.
05Your Consent
On your first visit we present a cookie preferences banner. You must choose to accept all optional categories, reject non-essential categories, or customise your preferences before continuing. Your choice is stored in hungerish-cookie-preferences on this device until you update it again from the banner or Cookie Settings in the footer.
06Managing Cookies and Storage
You can control cookies and similar storage in several ways:
- fiber_manual_recordCookie preference centre — click 'Cookie Settings' in the footer at any time to update your choices.
- fiber_manual_recordBrowser settings — most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies and site data. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
- fiber_manual_recordThird-party controls — if analytics or marketing providers are enabled, you can also use their own privacy and opt-out tools where available.
07Impact of Disabling Storage
Disabling strictly necessary storage will prevent you from logging in or using core platform features. Disabling functional storage may reset non-essential preferences on each visit. Disabling analytics and marketing storage will not affect platform functionality but may result in less relevant content and fewer product improvements based on usage patterns.
08Do Not Track
Some browsers send a 'Do Not Track' (DNT) signal. Hungerish.com does not currently alter its data-collection practices in response to DNT signals as there is no uniform standard for interpreting them. We will update this policy if an industry-wide standard emerges.
09Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our data practices. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. For material changes we will provide notice via email or an in-app notification.
